The process
Email marketing, as a process.
Binary Glyph runs email marketing as the program that carries the engagement forward: the list, the deliverability, the lifecycle flows, and the writing, on Autosponse, the practice’s own managed email platform, for businesses in Northwest Ohio and beyond. This page says what that process does, in order, and how it starts.
What email marketing is, here
What gets sold as email marketing is usually writing layered on top of someone else’s platform. One vendor writes the campaigns, a software company sends them, and the business pays both. It works until deliverability, list hygiene, or automation logic goes wrong, at which point each points at the other and the business is left with an email program producing numbers nobody can interpret.
The practice owns both layers. Client programs run on Autosponse, its own managed platform, so the person who writes the sequence is the person responsible for whether it arrives, and the numbers on the report are numbers the practice can explain.
Where email sits in the six months
Email is a Care-phase program in the engagement’s five phases. It is built after the brand has a voice and the site has a place to capture a reader, because a sequence written before those exist is a sequence rewritten later.
- Before it · months 1–3
-
The voice and the door
Meaning decides how the brand speaks. Home puts the capture on the site, with the authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) configured so the domain’s mail arrives at all.
- Care · month 3
-
The flows
The email strategy and lifecycle design, the capture wired to the list, and the first flows deployed: the welcome, the nurture, the moments in the relationship that deserve a note.
- Care · months 4–6, and after
-
The program
Campaigns on a cadence, in the brand’s voice, to a list kept clean. Deliverability watched. Engagement connected to outcomes the business measures. In month six, the before-and-after; after it, the ongoing program keeps sending.
Email is the one channel a brand owns outright.
Deliverability and voice
- Deliverability
- Sending infrastructure tuned to the sender’s actual reputation, not assumed from a platform’s defaults. List hygiene that removes inactive subscribers before they damage future inboxing. Authentication configured correctly the first time. Automation that branches on real behavior. Analytics that connect an open to an outcome. The infrastructure that decides whether email arrives at all.
- Voice
- Sequences written to be opened, read, and acted on, not assembled from templates and merge tags. Subject lines that earn attention without manipulating it. Body copy that respects the reader’s time. Asks that match the moment in the relationship. The brand’s voice, consistent across every send. The writing that decides whether email is worth arriving.
Autosponse
Autosponse is the practice’s managed email platform: enterprise sending infrastructure, run under the practice’s own hand for its clients, with the list, the templates, the flows, and the reporting in one place the practice operates. The business owns its list and can export it at any time. The practice runs the platform because owning the sending layer is the only way to be accountable for the whole program, and because a client should never again be told the problem is on the other vendor’s side.
How it starts
Email work starts with the audit: two weeks, a senior read of the current program, the list, the site, and the measurement, and a written plan for the next ninety days. It is $3,500, fixed, and it credits in full toward an engagement that starts within ninety days. The program is built in the engagement’s Care phase and carried on as an ongoing program at posted terms. The practice serves Toledo and Northwest Ohio and businesses beyond it, and the work can begin with a conversation.
The other processes the engagement runs: search, the website, social, paid media, and the identity, which is also sold on its own. How they integrate, in delivery: In Practice →
